The Proving Ground
Section titled “The Proving Ground”The Tribunal is an orchestration framework for autonomous multi-agent decisions. Financial markets are the proving ground — not because finance is the end goal, but because markets are unforgiving. There is no partial credit: outcomes either confirm a decision or expose a failure.
High-frequency, unambiguous feedback makes markets an ideal stress test for decision architecture. Each cycle can produce thousands of labeled examples from market-verified outcomes without human annotation.
What We Are Actually Building
Section titled “What We Are Actually Building”The product is not a single trading strategy. The product is the orchestration layer: the mechanisms that let specialized agents deliberate, vote, abstain, override, and learn from one another over time.
Core properties:
Role separation. Knights specialize in signal. The King owns capital intent and abstention. Prophet/Canon layers provide evidence and institutional memory. The executor owns final dollars and risk constraints.
Earned seats. No agent holds a permanent position. Performance gates and identity gates decide who advances. A model that cannot demonstrate useful signal diversity is a liability, not an asset.
Institutional memory. The Canon survives model replacement. Verified decisions and validated principles are preserved even as specific adapters are retired.
Natural selection over hand-tuning. The long-term architecture moves promotion from manual taste toward challenger systems, regime ledgers, and market-confirmed fitness.
Current Operational State
Section titled “Current Operational State”The current active phase is Phase 2. The immediate operational work inside Phase 2 is a seated-court evaluation and structural-evidence search, not the old three-prompt Phase 1 loop. Phase 1 closed after the old prompt-only court hit its ceiling; Phase 1+ was the specialization bridge into the current court.
The live runnable seats are:
- Momentum Knight
- Trend Knight
- Imbalance Knight
- Chain Knight
- King as the sovereign capital gate
Historical Flow/Sentiment references remain part of project lineage, but the live seated
court is defined by tribunal_roles.py and configs/seat_plugins.json.
The active court uses binary-directional knights: they produce signal, not abstention or capital sizing. HOLD, capital intent, and deployment authority belong to the King, Prophet/Python truth layer, and executor. New structural evidence sources are being auditioned in shadow before any promotion into the live decision path.
The Canon
Section titled “The Canon”The Canon is the written form of institutional memory. It records architecture, phase
logic, operational law, and verified lessons. When support docs disagree, CANON.md,
tribunal_roles.py, and the seat plugin config win.
The Canon grows only when the truth layer agrees. An LLM observation cannot write law unilaterally; computed outcome is law and advisory interpretation is context.
The Vision: Ancestral Tribunals
Section titled “The Vision: Ancestral Tribunals”The long-term vision is Ancestral Tribunals: each generation trained on verified outcomes from predecessors. The institution learns while individual models remain mortal.
No single model decides. No single cycle is the answer. The architecture is the answer.
